Barcelona will join Chelsea in the fierce fight to sign Liverpool striker Fernando Torres this summer.
The Blues are set to bid £50 million for the Spain international star, but the Catalan giants are prepared to step up their pursuit for Torres.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to give Torres £190,000-a-week to spurn Barcelona’s advances and come to Stamford Bridge.
In order to pay for the Liverpool striker, Barcelona are prepared to part with Zlatan Ibrahimovich just one year after giving Inter Milan £40m and striker Samuel Eto’o for the Swedish international.
Barcelona could seal the deal for Torres by bringing Spain strike partner David Villa to the Nou Camp as well and reuniting the devastating international duo at club level, according to The Sun.
Villa could arrive for £35m as financial strugglers Valencia might be forced to sell their biggest star to their La Liga rivals.
Ibrahimovic could move to Real Madrid, who are expected to bring in the Swede’s former Inter manager Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese has taken charge of the Nerazzurri during the Champions League final this weekend.
